Boeing 377-10-26 construction number 15930, original registration N1030V. Operated by Pan Am as Clipper Southern Cross and Clipper Reindeer.

This aircraft suffered an accident on 27 July 1952 en route from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires. The purser noticed a hissing sound from the main cabin door and informed the flight crew. The flight engineer inspected the door, then instructed the purser to place wet towels around the door edges. The captain elected to continue the flight. A minute or two later, the door blew open. A passenger was blown out and damage was caused to the cabin interior. The flight returned to Rio de Janeiro.
